A painting that means a lot to the artist, Denique has refused to say this one was for sale, until now. Made back in 2015, this was a pivitol piece in the art and spiritual journey in Denique's life. There were many breakthroughs both with what kind of art brought her joy and transmutation of lower level energies, and with the way she views the world. This particular piece was made while at home on a psychadelic LSD trip, one of her first tries. It's been many years since Denique has done it, as she is going down the path of surrender and releasing the need for substances to enjoy or process connection with others, including alcohol. She had never had a bad experience on LSD but she also never exceeded 2 doses in a day. Even in her early 20's she knew there needed to be a level of respect for her body and the mental trips she was going on. Life is not always what we see, because if it was all about that, we would be able to always see the air we breath. when we add ink to water or smoke to air, we can then see the movement that is happening despite our unawareness. There is so much more to life than what our senses can percieve. I believe that we need to stay in a level of curiosity to be open to greater perception. Life is not always what it seems.
