Spiritual Downloads was created during the lockdown in 2020. Denique spent a lot of that time and since alone, working on her craft and connecting to her spirituality. Often her understanding of the world around her comes out in her artwork and in her writing during this alone time. This can be achieved by accessing differnt brain frequencies. In regular waking life, we operate in the frequency Beta. When looking for inspiration in Beta, it can feel fleeting or even non-existant. To shift into inspiration, we actually need to be in the vibration of Alpha or Theta. Theta is the state we are in while asleep and dreaming, it can take a bit of work to access this frequency while awake so starting with Alpha, the state we enter into when in flow with creation, also has been known scientifically to increase natural healing abillities in the body. While in meditation, making artwork or any kind of creation where one loses track of time due to enjoyment, that is Alpha. The easiest way to reach Alpha flow state is to count backwards from 100. Eventually with practice, countdown can be drcreased from 100 to 80 to 50 to 30 to 10 to 5. This is not an overnight transformation, it is a reprogramming of the body and mind, a form of hypnosis, and a technique Denique learned through ESP (Extrasensory Perception). Denique has been working with her senses and her perception of those senses since she was 15 years old. In 2020, around the time she created this drawing, she took a course to deepen her knowledge and abillities through the works of Jose Silva. Many and most of Denique's artwork is a visual representation of the subconscious mind and senses such as foresight, intuition, claircognizance, and lucid dreaming.
